Born in Jamaica and raised in Belle Glade, Florida, Claude Harriott is a proud product of a strong Jamaican heritage, faith, and a community-first mindset. Inspired by his hard-working immigrant parents, Claude learned early the value of service, perseverance, and building stronger communities through leadership and compassion. Today, he brings that same spirit of care and dedication to his agency, his clients, and the communities he serves.

Highlights of Claude’s Journey

Earned a football scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, where he became an All-American student-athlete and team leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Played professional football for 9 years across multiple organizations and international leagues, including the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, and the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe.

Passionate mentor and community leader; co-founder of Quest-Act, helping young people develop leadership and life skills through the “Choose to Win” program.

Executive Director of Glades Youth Connection, the nonprofit founded by his father, expanding mentorship, youth development, and civic engagement opportunities from Florida to the Washington, DC Metro area.

Former Master General Agent with American Income Life, where he educated families on the importance of life insurance and financial protection.

Owner and operator of the Claude Harriott State Farm Agency since 2021, focused on helping neighbors protect their families, build financial confidence, and prepare for the future.

Board Member of the Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management at Bowie State University, supporting the next generation of leaders in insurance and financial services.

President of the NFLPA Washington, DC Former Players Chapter, leading community outreach, mentorship, and service initiatives throughout the region.

Claude is humbled and honored to serve communities through mentorship programs, youth sports initiatives, charitable outreach, financial literacy education, and community partnerships that uplift families and create opportunities for future generations.

Personal Passions & Family

Claude enjoys mentoring young people, coaching sports, and actively participating in his children’s activities. In his free time, he loves traveling and practicing jujutsu.

Married for nearly two decades, Claude and his wife are proud parents to their two wonderful daughters, Cadence and Caylee. While he values his accomplishments in sports, business, and leadership, Claude considers his greatest blessing and accomplishment to be his family.

Rooted in the rolling hills of Waynesboro, Virginia, Ricky Ray carries the quiet strength and humility of his upbringing into everything he does. His journey from small-town beginnings to national recognition has been guided by perseverance, purpose, and a deep commitment to service — sharpened at Norfolk State University, where he developed a lasting passion for lifting others up.

Developed his athletic and leadership foundation at Norfolk State University, where his belief in uplifting others took root and left an enduring mark on his path.

Played professional football in the National Football League, competing at the highest level and building the discipline, resilience, and team-first mindset that defines his approach to mentorship today.

Former Washington DC Chapter President of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), leveraging his experience within the athletic fraternity to create transformational change beyond the gridiron.

Currently serves as Chair of the NFL Concussion Players Advocacy Committee — working alongside retired former players, wives of former players, and legal counsel in collaboration with the Concussion Legacy Foundation to serve as a primary source of news and support for former players and their families.

Co-Founder of Quest Act, channeling years of community work and athletic credibility into the "Choosing to Win" program — equipping student-athletes across the DMV with the life skills they need to thrive beyond sports.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & SERVICE

Ricky has dedicated his post-playing career to holistic community growth — connecting education, mental health, physical wellness, and economic empowerment through nonprofit work, tireless volunteerism, and strategic partnerships. Whether mentoring youth, spearheading civic initiatives, or bridging networks to strengthen local communities, his impact is both profound and far-reaching.
